The children on the left are not only receiving payment for being “on task” for 10 to 12 hours a day – they are also getting physical exercise as they stand on their feet and move from one machine to the other. When they return to their homes, sure they’re exhausted and starving, with bladders fit to burst, but they come home with solid contributions to the household!!
The children on the right, on the other hand, are not only unpaid, but they are costing society and their parents countless dollars for their lackadaisical sitting all day with books! Plus, they are worse than couch potatoes with the lack of exercise and fitness! And for what? The way our economy is going, when they finish with their slothful paper pushing, the only jobs available will be Wal Mart greeter, telephone salesperson or cosmetics demonstrator. Because the high paying jobs of forklift operator, plumber and auto mechanic will all be taken by the kids who went to vocational school at 12.
At least the one thing both groups will share are the chronic bladder and kidney infections from holding their pee too long.
